OUR WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICES
WIRELESS BUSINESS CONNECTIVITY
Our wireless internet connections offer secure, reliable internet access using microwave transmission. Unlike fibre broadband internet or Leased Lines, which rely on subterranean wires, we can install wireless internet receivers wherever you can see a transmitter. There’s no need to rely on equipment being available at the BT exchange anymore.
Wireless internet is serviced by a high-rise Point of Presence (PoP) which can be seen from your premises. This is usually a tall, inner city building, which transmits a signal powered by its own fibre connection. We install a small receiver dish on the exterior of the building, before running ethernet cables into your switch via our supplied router. Once a wireless connection is set up in your premises, it can be transmitted via internal cables or a wireless access point. Connect any number of devices with a dedicated, priority bandwidth just for you.
Our wireless solutions transmit data without degradation over distance. This means that wireless internet can support high-quality, clear VOIP calls and video conferencing.
Wireless connections do not rely on existing copper or fibre telephone lines. As such, we can provide wireless internet access even in locations without an address!
Our wireless connectivity is perfect for festivals, pop-ups and other temporary locations. There is no need for planning permission or an initial investment in fibre optic cables. We can install high-speed internet access in just a few days, as you set up for the event. This includes the time taken to thoroughly stress test the connection, for maximum uptime.
Event WiFi can support collaborative event management, power payment systems and even encourage guests to connect and share. We have provided uninterrupted temporary wifi networks for events of all sizes.
BENEFITS OF WIRELESS CONNECTIONS
Wireless connectivity allows you to benefit from the same speed guarantees as our Leased Line connections. The added bonus: wireless connections are much quicker to install. That means your connection can be up and running with minimal business disruption.
Our IT engineers can provide and install a wireless access point in just 10-28 days. That’s up to 5 times quicker than it takes to install a dedicated Leased Line.
Our wireless internet services offer enterprise-level, symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 1Gbps.
Unlike traditional broadband, your wireless connection is not shared with others. That means that you can enjoy a dedicated bandwidth, just for your business.
If your internet usage or required capacity shifts, we can adjust your bandwidth accordingly. Scale from between 20mbps and 1gbps almost instantly, with our remote network management.
Our service level agreement (SLA) promises 99.9% uptime as standard. Our expert support team will react quickly should anything disrupt your connection.
A wireless IP connection is encrypted by algorithms. This makes it almost impossible to interpret data being transferred between wireless receivers.
Take your internet connection with you when you decide to relocate to new premises or a larger office. As long as you still have a line-of-sight to a local transmitter, your wireless connection can remain the same.
FEATURED: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WIRELESS AND WIFI?
WiFi refers to short-range data transfer to a device, whereas Wireless connections are wireless from the source, providing connectivity to a building via airwaves.
WiFi is a common phrase in modern daily life, as we try to connect to the internet almost everywhere we go. WiFi refers to short-range data transfer, within a building or set location. However, routers and wifi hotspots are often supported by traditional wired connections. They are not wireless from the source.
Wireless local area networks (LANs) are powered by point-to-point radio signal or microwaves. This means that the internet connection reaches the building via airwaves. The main benefit is that wireless internet connections can be connected quickly and easily. There is no need for a telephone connection or existing cables.
